This depends on the use and type of battery, but usually they last between 1 and 3 years. With intensive use, for example in gyms, this can be a little shorter.

If a card does not work, the user can access it with another authorised key fob, card or temporary management code.

Yes, they are designed for intensive use, provided the battery is replaced on time. The internal components can wear more slowly than those of mechanical locks, because no turning motion or key is used.

Yes. PIN or RFID models can be easily reset, allowing the same locker to be used multiple times a day by different users.

The administrator can always access and reset the code with a master card, management key fob or override code without damaging the locker.

In most cases, yes. Many brands offer retrofit models that fit standard door cut-outs or require minimal adjustment.

Yes. Security comes from the encrypted communication between the lock and the RFID card or PIN. Although no network is used, most systems are resistant to skimming and unauthorised access.

Offline locks work completely stand-alone without network, while smart locks connect to an app, cloud or central management system. As a result, smart locks provide features such as real-time monitoring, usage logs and automatic allocation.
