Frequently asked questions about cylinder locks

Yes. Cylinder locks are practical for fixed users who manage one key. For changing users, a cylinder lock is less efficient due to key management.

Yes, cylinder locks are available in variants that are more resistant to moisture, for example with corrosion-resistant materials or plastic components. In very humid environments we recommend cylinders with an additional corrosion-resistant finish or HPL lockers where necessary.

This varies from brand to brand, but usually one or two spare keys are included. For larger projects, additional spare keys or a master-key set can be ordered.

Yes, with many lockers it is possible to switch from a mechanical to an electronic locking system later. Please note that this depends on the type of door, recesses and the selected lock type.

Cylinder locks are durable enough for everyday use, but maintenance and key management increase as the load increases. For extremely intensive environments, an electronic system can be more efficient.

Replacing a cylinder usually takes only a few minutes and can often be carried out by the site administrator. For larger key plans, we recommend holding a small stock of spare cylinders.

Depending on the manufacturer and materials the delivery time is between 5 - 8 weeks. Selected ranges may be available sooner, typically within 3–4 weeks. Delivery times are indicative and no rights can be derived from them. In the quotation we always mention an actual delivery time.

Yes. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive a schedule with expected delivery week. We will keep you informed when the production or transport changes.

For project orders we use a clear payment schedule. Because it is often customised, we work with a deposit when the order is placed and the rest after delivery or installation. This is always mentioned in advance in the quotation so that you know exactly what to expect.

You always receive an invoice in advance for the deposit. Once the products are delivered or assembled, you will receive the final invoice. For larger projects we work with partial payments.

You can pay by bank transfer. For business customers we do not work with online payment methods such as iDEAL because we deliver custom projects without a webshop.

Payment on account is possible for permanent business customers or when this has been agreed in advance. New clients usually pay a deposit.
